Book your tickets for Mostly Jazz Funk & Soul Festival
7-9th July, 2023
Moseley Park, 93B Alcester Road, B13 8DD
This festival is undoubtedly my favourite in Brum and for those local, having it right on your doorstep is a huge treat! For those unfamiliar, Mostly Jazz is a diverse, vibrant celebration of ground-breaking, innovative music, bringing the best acts from across the globe to Moseley Village Park for a feel-good Summer bash.
The line up this year is as exciting as ever; I saw Saturday headliners Ezra Collective for the first time in February and can certainly vouch for their high-octane performances - I’d never felt an energy like it!
If this sounds like a bit of you, you’ll have to be quick! There are only a few tickets left, and payment plan options end tomorrow.
I love jazz, funk and soul music!

This shot, taken on top of a Birmingham car park in 1984 by David Rostance, caught my eye initially due to the array of cars on show. Not only has the Brummie skyline changed drastically in nearly 40 years, but the motors on the road (and in the car parks!) are almost alien to what’s on show here.

We enjoy a lot of works published by No Go Press, an independent publisher based in the West Midlands operating with an aim to raise awareness of underrepresented photography by intriguing local creatives. We thought you’d like their latest offering, Normal Service Will Be Resumed by Matt Peers.
These photographs were captured during lunch time walks through Birmingham as the city was starting to recover from a pandemic and attempting to understand how to live with a ‘new normal’.
Intimate and unobtrusive, this collection is a must for anyone interested in candid street photography, viewing the beauty and complexity of Birmingham through a new lens.
