Try one of these workshops at the RBSA gallery
26th July - 9th August, 11am - 4pm
4 Brook Street, St. Paul's Square, B3 1SA
Fancy your hand at portrait drawing, oil painting or mindful photography? Whether you’re keen to learn or already well-versed in some of these creative mediums, there’s a workshop for everyone to try out at the RBSA Gallery over the next two weeks.
A chance to relax for a day, get creative and learn some new skills. Either independently or with friends, these courses provide a wonderful indoor alternative for when the Summer weather isn’t quite up to scratch.

A birds eye view of Gas Street Basin, taken by Sam Henderson in 2021.
I’m reminded of a stack of vinyl or CDs, while the sunlight enhances the colours beautifully; this image could easily have been taken in the heart of The Med!
Consider This
Watch GeoWizard try and cross the length of Birmingham without using roads or canals
A seemingly impossible task considering the treacherous route chosen; getting from Sandwell to Solihull on foot, while avoiding both roads and canals is pretty out there.
While we don’t advise that you try it yourself, watching someone else attempt the mission from the comfort of your own home is very entertaining. Many fences are scaled, building sites ran through and injuries narrowly avoided. It’s the best part of any film; a 38 minute long chase scene, minus the Hollywood actors and expensive film set.
Do you think they can do it?
