Since signing to Universal Music Group in 2019, The Clause have cemented themselves as local heroes in Birmingham's indie music scene. Over the last few years, each hometown gig has required a room bigger than the last; from humble beginnings at The Sunflower Lounge in 2016, this Friday they play the main room at The Institute!

The warm nostalgia of seeing Christmas lights up in the streets hits me every year without fail. I fondly remember going to see the lights get turned on at Millennium Point as a child, and being captivated by the magic of it each time.
This shot, taken on New Street in Christmas 1963, reminds me of sitting in the back seat on journeys home after school, debating with myself whether I’d been good enough for Santa to pay me a visit that year! 😆
