Book an evening with Birmingham Royal Ballet
Wednesday 14th February, 6pm
Hockley Social Club, 60 Hampton Street, B19 3LU
Birmingham Royal Ballet return to Hockley to perform highlights from The Sleeping Beauty, one of the best-loved 19th century classical ballets, and provide insight in to the hard work and artistry that goes into the exquisite, world-class performances they deliver on stages across the country.
An evening of fairytale and romance; this is a unique chance to gain a greater understanding for the art of ballet from one of the world’s great touring ballet companies. Get down early for street food and drinks, too!

Picture This
Moody and mysterious; this shot by Marcin looks like a scene from a true crime mini-series on ITV!
I love this location, and have seen many great shots taken here, but this is no doubt one of my favourites.
Consider This
Watch this video of the Camp Hill flyover being built
Shot on 8mm film on Sunday 15th October 1961, this video documents the construction of the Camp Hill Flyover, a temporary traffic measure built over one weekend that remained in operation for 28 years, closing in 1989.
The second half of the clip shows a POV view of the Number 37 bus driving over the complete ramp a week later and I have to say, it looks more like a rollercoaster than a road fit for driving on!
