Last month marked the 19th anniversary of the Birmingham Back to Backs opening their doors to the public. These images show the state of the building pre and post refurbishment; it hadn’t been lived in since 1966, so certainly needed a bit of TLC!
Nowadays, it’s a beautifully looked after attraction, celebrating an important era of Birmingham’s history and providing an elegant touch of tradition amongst the ever-growing modern landscape.

Watch comedian Josh Pugh perform at the Birmingham Town Hall on YouTube
Midlands based funnyman Josh Pugh touched down in Birmingham earlier this year as part of his first solo tour. If you were unlucky enough to miss out on tickets for the Town Hall show, it’s now been put on YouTube to be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home.
We’ve enjoyed following Josh’s journey and found this show hilarious! If you’re in need of a laugh, grab some snacks, some good company and indulge in an hour’s worth of great jokes from a comedian very much on the rise.
