With a certain tournament coming up, we browsed through the city’s footballing archive and found this shot from the 1987-88 season at Villa Park, showing Aston Villa on the attack against Birmingham City. I’m a big fan of the retro kits on show here; check out those ‘80s shorts too!

Joe Lycett's interview with Babmag
Patron Saint of Birmingham Joe Lycett has just finished his mammouth tour of the country. If you didn't catch him at a gig, you'll have probably seen him on TV once or twice recently.
This week, he called out David Beckham for accepting a £10m cheque to be the ambassador for the World Cup in Qatar and threatened to shred £10,000 of his own money if the ‘gay icon’ doesn’t pull out of the deal. Quite a statement! It certainly got us talking in the studio.
His latest interview with Brummie legends Babmag is a love letter to the city that got us feeling all warm and fuzzy inside! Check it out below.
